2015 Consejo Neighborhood Watch
Sunday, February 8th was a beautiful sunny and cool morning, perfect for the Second Annual Consejo Neighborhood Watch Garage Sale. Sales didn't start until 9AM, but the buyers started gathering much earlier, perhaps hoping to get in early. This year, no sales were accepted before 9AM! Residents from Consejo Shores, Mayan Seaside and Consejo Village were joined by several groups from Corozal as they enjoyed the lovely weather and awaited the opening.
All the items for sale were donated by the local community. These include: a 18 V Lithium Ryobi Cordless drill and charger, glassware, DVD's, 2 children's bikes in good shape, blinds, 2 hard shell Samsonite suitcases, portable car cooler, cargo extension for truck hitch, 2 tents in excellent shape, fiberglass canoe, new fishing rod and reel, set of cordless phones, binoculars, Shaw dish and receiver, flashlights, pictures, house wares, lamps and fixtures, and much more.
Tom Fisher reports that $1940 was raised from the Garage Sale. Left over videos will be donated to the Consejo Village library, and all other unsold items will go to the Rotary Club club for their upcoming Garage Sale.
Thanks to all whose efforts made this event a successful fundraiser.
